The Assante Wealth Management CBR Junior Renegades honoured former national women’s hockey star Sarah Davis January 20th as the 2017-2018 Honorary Renegade. The Paradise native played U.S. Division One college hockey at the University of Minnesota, where she won a pair of NCAA national championships whilst earning WCHA conference all-star honours. She joined the Canadian national team women’s program in 2015, winning three silver medals in the IIHF world women’s championships and three silvers at the 4 Nations Cup.  Sarah is the sixth person to be named Honorary Renegade, joining former hockey and softball star Ford Metcalfe, community sponsor Scott Parsons, Hockey Night in Canada Hall of Fame broadcaster Bob Cole, former CBR minor Hockey president and longtime volunteer Marg Noftle, and former stadium manager, volunteer, councillor, and hockey mom, Sandra Baggs.
