The countdown continues for the Ten Best Renegades of the Decade. Number 7, Ryan Power. In 2011, the smooth-skating defenceman was drafted by the Moncton Wildcats in the QMJHL Entry Draft and also played 2 seasons in the MJAHL. He joined the Renegades in 2013-2014 and finished a solid rookie season 7 goals, 16 assists for 23 points. The next season, the talented blueliner had 14 goals, 21 assists for 35 points and was named to the league’s 1st All Starteam. Feared for his booming (and accurate) slapshot, Ryan was considered one of the league’s best defensemen when he played. Today, you’ll find Ryan still playing high-level hockey locally with the Renegade-affiliated Conception Bay Senior Blues of the ECSHL. Congratulations, Ryan, number 7… as we countdown the Ten Best Renegades of the Decade.
