Number 6, Stephen LeDrew. Stephen was the fifth player to be named Captain of the Renegades and the first defenceman to do so. He was a smooth-skating blueliner with a very high hockey I.Q. Solid as a rock with precision passing and quick puck movement, ‘Leddy’ could play a skilled offensive game or a rough, physical game in his own zone. After 4 seasons with the Renegades, he finished with 63 points.
Leddy was named to the Renegades Hall of Fame in 2016-2017, and went on to play with the Renegades-affiliate Conception Bay Senior Blues in the ECSHL. Congratulations, Stephen, number 6…as we countdown the Ten Best Renegades of the Decade.
