THE FIRST HONORARY RENEGADE 2010-2011
Ford Metcalfe was named the first Honorary Junior Renegade in the CBS Junior Renegades inaugural season.
Ford had an exceptional 10-year hockey career, winning 3 Herders with the Senior Caps, and had a brilliant softball career, with 5 championships, 3 MVP’s, and represented the province in Nationals several times.
Inducted into N.L. Hockey Hall of Fame, N.L. Softball Hall of Fame, CBS Sports Hall of Fame, and St. John’s Softball Hall of Fame.
2ND HONORARY RENEGADE 2011-2012
Scott Parsons was named the 2nd Honorary Junior Renegade by the CBS Junior Renegades Hockey Club.
Scott and his family have a passion for local sports and a long-standing dedication for their community. They’ve been sponsoring and supporting local sports teams for over 60 years in CBS. And are still heavily-involved in youth sports, junior & senior hockey, and our community today.
Most weekends you can still see Scott at a Junior Renegades or Senior Blues hockey game.
3RD HONORARY RENEGADE 2012-2013
The late Bob Cole was named the 3rd Honorary Renegade by the CBS Junior Renegades Hockey Club.
Bob was THE Legendary Voice for CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada for 50 years. An award-winning sportscaster, Bob started broadcasting hockey on VOCM, then CBC Radio, and moved to television with HNIC. Bob was a former resident of Conception Bay South. He has received many awards…Hockey Hall of Fame 1996, Order of Canada 2006, Gemini Award 2007, along with his Honorary Renegade in 2012. Bob Cole passed away in April, 2024.
